Brighton

Last weekend Ma and Pa came to visit and, with the beloved, we took a day trip to Brighton to see my brother's new sea view - if you hang out the window risking life and camera it's right there:We were glad to see it after battling through dreadful traffic, perhaps we should have taken note that it was Labour Party conference time.
Though it was always going to be busy with people making the most of the wonderful sunshine
and a food market on the front.
After this day my abiding mental image of Brighton will be of icecream colour buildings against brilliant blue skies.
I'm not sure how my brother has ended up with my dream of living beside the seaside, but here's to plenty more family outings to visit him.

Brighton is a funny old place - I do like it very much though! Lucky you that you can visit there regularly for free (sort of!)

I love Brighton, we only live down the line from it so I often find excuses to visit!

I love, love, love your pictures of Brighton. When you're in the American Midwest, you're a long way from the sea!

For me, apart from ice-cream coloured buildings, it is the image of Kaffe Fassett striding down its streets! [He filmed part of his video series there]

I share your dream about living near the sea!

Great views! Brighton is such a great place, isn't it - always so much going on. Funnily enough, one of my brothers used to live there, as well as a large chunk of my mum's family.

Hope you've got that camp bed set up chez Bro's!

I love your photos of Brighton. Isn't it always that busy though! Is that a buttontree land pouch I spy?

I have a terrible fear of water having witnessed the Mississippi River overflowing its banks whilst living in Memphis. So, I could never let myself live that close to water, but gosh, it sure is beautiful. I hope you get to visit often.
Brighton is so cool and it looks like you had a good time. The weather looks goog too.

Although I lived in Southampton for the first 19 years of my life I think I only ever went to Brighton once when I was quite young. I must go again! What lovely weather you had that day.
