In the grip...

... of new project passion.Talking about getting cosy for autumn this weekend the image of the Over-the-Knee Socks in Handknit Holidays sprung to mind. A quick rummage through the stash yesterday for something vaguely suitable in sufficient yardage (Rowanspun 4ply in Sludge) and I am away, knitting as fast as I can to keep pace with the beating of my heart!

Thank you all for the encouraging words for Patti, I feel sure all your positivity must have balanced out that bad karma. She'll have her day when (probably about mid-calf) the shine rubs off these beauties ;o)

I think putting Patti in time out is an excellent plan.

Oooh, I've always loved this pattern! The yarn you're using is gorgeous, but the name makes me laugh - you're going to be wearing sludge on your legs! :o) (Obviously I've been spending too much time with the kids)

Those are so scrumptious. I love them. I think yours will be awesome in that color. Surprisingly I have not tried making knee socks yet - must do that.

Oh man. I have not seen these socks yet...and I do NOT need another item in my queue. Sigh. But I know there is no use trying to fight it. Off to queue them up now. Double Sigh.

Yours are going to be amazing...looking forward to seeing them! And you are right...this is a fabulous knit for fall!
