Best Laid Plans

This has not been a good week. Still ill. Tomorrow I'm off on a work trip for a week and let's just say the timing could be better.

Like you all want for your blogs I want this to be a smiley, happy place but some days those smiles are harder than others. One thing that never fails to help are your comments. Thank you all so much for your lovely compliments on my last two FOs; you virtual friends are coming to mean the world to me and I love to show you what I've done and then I'm always so delighted at the many ways you find to say lovely things about simple little projects. Big smiles for you all :o)

So the Hederas are getting towards the toe of the second sock, nearly there and looking pretty. I'll not take them away with me as there isn't enough knitting left in them to earn them a space in my overcrowded case. They can await my return in a hopefully better state than I leave them.

I've got the Velvet Plum Jitterbug yarn packed to take for the trip and the pattern accompanying me, chosen by 70% of the voters, shall be Esther's. Thank you so much again to everyone who voted. I hope I'm up to it!

Mmmm, just the name Velvet Plum sounds amazing for this yarn, I hope that working with it energizes and calms you while you travel. :0)

{hugs} Sorry you're under the weather at the mo. Hope things are brighter soon.

I love the FOs below, though the bag sounds like it turned into hard work!

I'm with Charity on the Velvet Plum, yum....and it's such a beautiful pattern.
I hope you feel better soon, waving my magic wand so the 'ucks' can go and take a hike off somewhere else... seriously sending warm feel better thoughts your way.

Hope your week away isn't too gruelling, and that you soon feel better. I'm sure the Jitterbug will cheer you up (I so want some...). Take care, Sarah!

Rest, fluids and bravery are required! And a trip to the doctor before you go, if you feel really bad: speaking as someone who last night went all the way to London only to end up missing the band and going to hospital, I am currently quite big on early medical attention.

Your Hedera's are coming beautifully, and I look forward to seeing the Esthers: what a pattern! Thank-you for giving me the background of jumper. I'm considering going to the charity shop and trying to get it back now...

Oh hun, I hope you feel better soon. And I always feel that a blog is a reflection of the person who writes it, so if you are feeling ill then its gonna be reflected in your blog. I would rather have a realistic blog with the odd touch of the blues, than a fake boob job one (ifyswim - maybe my analogy is a bit obscure, but maybe not lol).

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well, hope you start to feel better really soon. The velvet plum jitterbug sounds gorgeous, just what the doctor ordered. The Hederas look really pretty and lovely work as always;)

Popping in to say hi after a long absence. Looks like you've got some great projects going. I have some Jitterbug stashed too, and I can't wait to try it out.

Oh - those Esthers in Velvet Plum will be yummy! Nothing worse than feeling poorly but must admit for me it's given me focused knitting time as that's all I've felt up to doing! Love all your recent FO's - the colours in your bag are lovely! Hope you're feeling better soon!

Ah Sarah, hope you feel better soon and that the trip is going well. I know I said I didn't want knitting goodies, but thanks SO much for the loop vouchers (I am assuming they were your idea!), you'll have to help me pick something on the 6th..
See you soon (but not Monday - how weird that feels!)
Love and hugs xxx
